Ericka Mays, LPE-I
Psych Examiner
Ericka joined Rise in 2019. She received a BS in Psychology from Arkansas State University and a MS in Counseling Psychology from University of Central Arkansas. Ericka originally majored in Biology- PreMed but changed her major to Psychology during her junior year. She immediately fell in love with Psychology but shifted her focus from research to clinical because she couldn’t imagine working with rats every day. After graduation, she applied to the master’s program at University of Central Arkansas so she could be closer to her family. During her tenure at UCA Ericka lived with her aunt in Sherwood and commuted to Conway every day.
Ericka loves working with children and families. She describes her job as rewarding and loves helping parents find answers to what is causing their child to struggle.
Ericka is happily married to her husband Russell and has three sons, Allen (27), Eric (23), and Patrick (13).
Ericka is highly involved in community outreach through her sorority of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Beta Pi Omega Chapter and is a member of Junior League North Little Rock and the Arkansas Association of Black Psychology Professionals.
